Get ready for the 20th annual Father & Son Bowl! Hundreds of players and families from Tennessee and surrounding states will gather for this epic annual event. You don’t have to be athletic or in shape, it’s all about having BIG FUN!

Players

This event is for guy players only but all are welcome to come watch, eat, play in the Skill Zone, and cheer on the players. Fathers and sons* from ages 5 to 95. Grandfathers and grandsons, uncles and nephews, mentors and mentees, or if you are a man that plays a significant role in a young man’s life you can play together too.

*If you have a son (or know of one) whose father is unable to play for some reason or if you are a single mom with a son, these boys can sign up too. Email Caree@FatherSonBowl.com for more information.

Individuals

A father and son(s) play on the same team (in the same game) and will be teamed up with other fathers and sons of similar age and skill level. If you are registering a group of 9 players or fewer, we will add extra players to make a complete team.

Groups

Groups can request to play together as a team. We will do our best to accommodate team requests, but cannot guarantee them. All teams will consist of a minimum of 10 players. If you are registering a team of 9 players or less, we will add players to your team.

  • Teams must have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 12. We reserve the right to adjust or change any team up to and on game day. No teams are exclusive. If you are entering a team of 9 players or less, we will add players to your team. ??? Teams may not add new or additional players on game day.

    We always reserve the right to add players to a team. Sometimes we need to add people in that want to play as much as everyone else and have a great time with their young man. With that said, we also try to avoid adding too many people to a team. Our goal is to make it a great day for everyone involved.

    Due to increased demand and limited space, we can no longer reserve full games. If you and your son(s) are wanting to play with friends, everyone will need to sign up together on one registration form OR everyone will need to register separately on the same day with the same time slot and all requested teammates names listed. If you do not register on the same day, we cannot guarantee that you all will play together. If you register to play as a team and someone has to cancel for any reason, registration fees cannot be transferred and are non-refundable. ??? For example, if a registered player cannot play on game day, but you have unregistered guys that would like to play, those new players will need to register and pay player fees.

    If you’d like to play against another team (as described above) you can request this by emailing Caree@FatherSonBowl.com, but it cannot be guaranteed. The other team will also need to sign up as described above and on the same day as your team.

    If the team you are entering is more dominant than the team you are playing against and your team is not playing with a sense of fun, honor and respect for others, then the Field General will invoke the The Respect Rule to equalize the game. The goal of our event is for all players to have a fun time, especially the boys.

A portion of the proceeds benefit fatherless children. Over the years, with the support of our players and sponsors, we’ve raised over $95,600 for fatherless children.

Cancellation Policy: Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions. Once registered, you will not receive a refund if you or anyone you registered cannot participate. Registration fees cannot be transferred to other players. If the event is rescheduled for any reason and you cannot participate on the rescheduled date, we reserve the right to give a refund minus any processing fees.

Game Day Schedule

Each registered player will play one game. When registering you will indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Time Slot preference (NOT a specific round or game time). You must select at least two different Time Slots. Once Time Slot preferences are submitted, they cannot be changed.

Once all games have been set, players will be notified of the specific Round number they are playing in. Game times will be posted on the Game Times–FRANKLIN, TN page in the Player Info section of this website on the Wednesday before game day. Changes to assigned game times cannot be made once games are set.

  • You may be assigned your 1st, 2nd or 3rd preference. We work hard to assign you to your 1st or 2nd preference. However, due to the volume of players and Time Slot requests, we occasionally have to assign players to their 3rd preference. Early registrants get time slot preferences over later registrants.

    Once games are set, assigned game times and players cannot be changed. If you cannot participate at your assigned time then your registration will be forfeited/cancelled. No refunds.

    If you can only play during one Time Slot, please check availability with Caree@FatherSonBowl.com BEFORE registering because there are no refunds.

    The Wednesday before game day (maybe sooner) the primary registrant will be emailed their specific game Round time. It will also be posted on this website in Game Times under Player Info. Every player must sign in at their designated time or their spots will be forfeited to standby players and will not be refunded their entry fee.

How to Sign up

Sign up ASAP! Space is limited and usually sells out. 

Early registrants get Time Slot preferences over later registrants. Once registration is full, players can sign up for the Standby List. 

Be Fully Informed. Read all the event information before registering. The person registering players is responsible for communicating event and game day information to all the players they register.

Game Time Options. There are 3 different Time Slots to choose from. See the Game Day Schedule above. When registering, you will indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Time Slot preference.

Registering Players. Below is the key info you'll need for each player.

    If signing up everyone together, a team captain will be responsible for gathering all registration info and payment for each player on his team. Below is the info you need for each player you sign up.

    Signing up a team under SEPARATE registration forms. 

    If signing up team members separately, each registration needs to indicate all the other adult’s names that they are playing with. If team members do not sign up on the SAME DAY and before registration closes, then they will not be able to play together. Also, be sure that everyone indicates the same Time Slot choices.
